These Terms of Service govern your use of My Garage Logs, including the MyGarageLogs.com website and related features and services. By creating an account or using My Garage Logs, you agree to these Terms.

1. About My Garage Logs

My Garage Logs is a vehicle information and maintenance tracking service. Features may include vehicle profiles, maintenance and service records, maintenance reminders, parts information, fuel records, uploaded documents and receipts, vehicle identification number (VIN) tools, recall information, manufacturer communications, reports, email notifications, push notifications, and other vehicle-related tools.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

You must not use another person's account without permission or attempt to gain unauthorized access to My Garage Logs, another user's information, or the systems that operate the service.

3. Information You Store

My Garage Logs allows you to enter and store information such as vehicle details, VINs, mileage, engine hours, maintenance history, service records, parts, fuel records, notes, photographs, receipts, insurance information, and other vehicle-related documents.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for ensuring that you have the right to upload and store any documents, photographs, or other content you provide.

4. Maintenance Information and Reminders

Maintenance schedules, reminders, mileage calculations, and other maintenance information provided by My Garage Logs are organizational tools only. They are not a substitute for your vehicle manufacturer's maintenance schedule, owner's manual, professional inspection, diagnosis, or repair advice.

You remain responsible for determining when your vehicle requires inspection, maintenance, or repair.

5. Recall Information

My Garage Logs may obtain recall information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and other third-party data sources.

Recall results displayed by My Garage Logs may be based on the year, make, and model decoded from a VIN. A displayed campaign does not necessarily mean that your specific VIN is affected or that an applicable recall remains unrepaired.

For definitive recall status, users should confirm their vehicle's VIN with NHTSA, the vehicle manufacturer, or an authorized dealer.

6. Technical Service Bulletins and Manufacturer Communications

My Garage Logs may display technical service bulletins, manufacturer communications, or similar information obtained from government or third-party data sources.

These materials are provided for informational purposes and do not establish that a particular condition exists on your vehicle or that a particular repair is required or covered by a manufacturer.

7. Third-Party Information

Some information displayed by My Garage Logs is supplied by third parties, including government agencies, vehicle manufacturers, and external data services.

We do not control these third-party data sources and cannot guarantee that their information will always be complete, current, or error-free.

8. Email and Push Notifications

If you enable email or push notifications, My Garage Logs may send maintenance reminders, recall notifications, account verification messages, security-related messages, and other service communications.

Delivery of notifications cannot be guaranteed. You should not rely solely on My Garage Logs notifications for vehicle safety, maintenance, registration, insurance, or recall obligations.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse My Garage Logs. Prohibited activities include attempting unauthorized access, interfering with the operation of the service, introducing malicious software, abusing automated features, attempting to obtain another user's private information, or using the service for unlawful purposes.

10. Free and Paid Accounts

My Garage Logs may offer both free and paid account features. At the time these Terms were last updated, a free account may store one vehicle. Users may purchase a one-time $14.99 account upgrade that allows unlimited vehicles. This upgrade is a one-time purchase and is not a recurring subscription.

Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. My Garage Logs does not directly receive or store your complete payment card number or card security code. Your use of Stripe's payment services may also be subject to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy practices.

11. Refunds

Refund requests for the one-time account upgrade may be submitted within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are subject to reasonable measures intended to prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate refund requests, or misuse of the service.

If a full refund is issued, paid account features, including the ability to add unlimited vehicles, may be removed from the account. Existing account data will be handled in accordance with these Terms and the My Garage Logs Privacy Policy.

12. Availability and Changes to the Service

We work to keep My Garage Logs available and reliable, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. Maintenance, technical problems, Internet outages, third-party service failures, or other circumstances may temporarily affect availability.

Features may be added, modified, suspended, or discontinued as the service develops.

13. Backups and Data Loss

My Garage Logs may maintain backups as part of operating the service, but no backup system can guarantee against every possible loss of data.

You should retain copies of important original documents, receipts, insurance records, photographs, and other information that you cannot afford to lose.

14. No Professional Advice

My Garage Logs does not provide professional automotive, mechanical, legal, insurance, financial, or safety advice. Information provided through the service is intended to help users organize and understand vehicle-related information.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

My Garage Logs is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service or information provided through it will always be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, My Garage Logs and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

This includes losses resulting from missed maintenance, missed notifications, inaccurate or incomplete third-party information, data loss, or decisions made based on information displayed by the service.

17. Suspension or Termination

Access to My Garage Logs may be suspended or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users, or its systems, or when an account is used in violation of these Terms.

18. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated as My Garage Logs changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
